Naomi Wilzig Torah Dedication Ceremony

A Siyum Sefer Torah Celebration.

In honor of her 80th birthday, Naomi Wilzig dedicated a new torah in the name of her children. The ceremony took place at the Jewish Museum of Miami with a festive parade to the local Chabad where the Torah was to be used.
What is the ceremony? It is customary to leave the new Sefer Torah incomplete to afford people the honor to actually write a letter in the Sefer Torah. By doing this it is as if they participated in the writing of the whole Sefer Torah, for without their letter, the entire Sefer is incomplete.
This video captures the final writing of the letters to finish this Torah.

This video is a gift

from Harvey J. Burstein to honor Naomi’s 80th Birthday Day.
